The Human Resources Professional course prepares you for a career in human resources. This course
explores the foundational aspects of HR, including human resource laws, hiring disciplines, and labor relations.
You will learn industry-recognized practices that align with the Human Resource Certi昀椀cation Institute (HRCI)
and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
As you progress through the course, you will dive into essential areas, such as a昀케rmative action, diversity
considerations, and come to understand important decisions that human resources professionals often
make regarding retention, recruiting, and hiring. Additionally, you will learn how to create a high-performance
workplace, and related topics of performance appraisals, remote work, workplace communication, motivation,
digital media, compensation and bene昀椀ts, and more.
Upon 昀椀nishing this course, you will be equipped to start your career in this growing 昀椀eld. You will be prepared to
sit for the HRCI’s Professional Certi昀椀cation in Human Resources (PHR) exam, while also learning information
useful for other human resources certi昀椀cation exams, including SHRM’s Certi昀椀ed Professional (SHRM-CP)
exam and the HRCI’s Associate Professional in Human Resources (aPHR) exam.
